Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Applies to all dharamshala and tour bookings on DharamStay.
We understand that pilgrimage plans can change. Please read our cancellation terms carefully before booking. For any questions, WhatsApp us at +91 99999 99999.
1. Cancellation by Guest
- •Cancellations made 7 or more days before the check-in date: Full refund of the amount paid (minus payment gateway charges of up to 2%).
- •Cancellations made 3–6 days before the check-in date: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- •Cancellations made less than 3 days before the check-in date: No refund. The full booking amount will be forfeited.
- •No-show (failure to arrive on the check-in date without prior notice): No refund.
2. How to Cancel
- •To cancel your booking, contact us via WhatsApp at +91 99999 99999 with your booking reference number (starting with DS-).
- •Cancellations must be requested by the primary guest whose name appears on the booking.
- •Verbal or in-person cancellations are not accepted. All cancellations must be made via WhatsApp or email at hello@dharamstay.in.
3. Refund Processing
- •Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation.
- •Refunds are credited to the original payment source (UPI, bank account, or card) used at the time of booking.
- •DharamStay is not responsible for delays caused by the payment gateway or your bank.
4. Cancellation by DharamStay
- •In exceptional circumstances (natural calamity, force majeure, property unavailability), DharamStay may cancel your booking.
- •In such cases, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid within 5–7 business days.
- •DharamStay will attempt to offer an alternative property of similar or higher standard in the same area at no extra cost.
5. Modifications to Booking
- •Date changes are subject to availability and must be requested at least 3 days before the original check-in date.
- •Room type upgrades are subject to availability and any price difference is payable by the guest.
- •Reducing the number of nights after check-in is not eligible for a refund.
6. Special Circumstances
- •During Kanwar Yatra, Kumbh Mela, Navratri, and other peak pilgrimage seasons, all bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
- •Group bookings (5 or more rooms) have a separate cancellation policy. Please contact us before booking for group-specific terms.
7. Dispute Resolution
- •In case of a dispute, please contact us at hello@dharamstay.in. We aim to resolve all disputes within 7 business days.
- •This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any unresolved disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
